AMHERST, MA - The Northeastern volleyball team fell to the Massachsuetts Minutewomen 3-0 on Tuesday night Sept. 4 at Curry Hicks Cage in Amherst, Mass. With the loss, the Huskies fall to 1-3 while UMass improves to 2-2.
Lindsay Wagner topped Northeastern with eight kills, while four Huskies, including Wagner, led the team with eight digs. Kristin Ursillo had 26 assists. For UMass, Lauren Vander Veen had a match-high of 14 kills, while Nitia Small, Jitka Stehnova and Lymarie Llovett had double-doubles.
The Minutewomen hit for .197 for the match, including a .311 mark in the second game, while holding the Huskies to .050 for the match.
Northeastern returns to action this Friday night at 7 p.m. against Colgate in the first day of the New England Challenge.
