BOSTON, MA - The Northeastern University volleyball team defeated America East opponent Hartford 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Solomon Court.
The Huskies were led by Lindsay Wagner's 12 kills. Adrianna Digregorio and Kristin Deatherage also added nine kills apiece.
Hartford's Kelly McEathron had 17 kills, while Stephanie Volckers chipped in with 15.
Northeastern and Hartford battled it out to a 10-10 tie in the early going of game one before NU pulled away for the 30-22 victory. Lindsay Wagner had seven kills in game one alone.
In game two, the Huskies and the Hawks were tied at 6-6 when Hartford went on a 6-0 run. NU battled back to tie the game once again at 23 and then went on to a 30-26 victory.
Hartford's Kelly McEathron (13 kills) and Stephanie Volckers (10 kills) each had double-digit kills performances in the game two.
Northeastern was victorious 30-19 in game three for the win.
In the victory, Northeastern improves to 18-8 on the season and 8-1 in America East action, while Hartford falls to 5-14 overall and 1-8 in conference play.
Next up for Northeastern is Stony Brook on Sunday at 1 p.m.
