| 2005 Schedule/Results Northeastern 3, Harvard 1
The Northeastern volleyball team improved its record to 5-6 on the season with a 3-1 (30-21, 26-30, 30-17, 30-28) victory over crosstown rival Harvard Wednesday night at Solomon Court. The Huskies, who have now won four of their last five matches, had five players register double-digit kills in the match. The Crimson fell to 2-4 on the season. The first game of the contest saw the two teams in an early fight for the lead. With Harvard ahead 19-17 midway through the frame, the Huskies went on a tear, reeling off 13 of the next 15 points to grab a 30-21 victory. Senior outside hitter Brandie Genibrel led all players with six kills in the game. In game two, the Crimson jumped out to a quick 7-0 start and never relinquished the lead in a 30-26 victory. NU trimmed the lead to just one point late in the match at 26-25, but Harvard got kills from three different players to close out the game 30-26. Game three saw the Huskies return the favor, jumping out to an early lead of their own and dominating the rest of the way. NU tallied 14 kills and six blocks in the frame to take a lopsided 30-17 triumph. Northeastern outhit Harvard .244 to .024, with Larissa Adomat leading the way with four kills on seven attacks. The fourth and final game was the closest of the match, with the two teams fighting neck-and neck to a 24-all tie. The Huskies got back-to-back points on kills by Adomat and Lauren DeTurk to surge ahead, and Harvard could get no closer than 29-28, when a Katie Turley-Molony attack error gave NU the match. The Huskies hit .280 in the fourth and final frame. Genibrel once again led the Huskies, registering her fifth straight double-double with 15 kills and 23 digs. Sophomore Kira Batura chipped in 10 kills and 21 digs as well. The middle hitters continued their strong play for Northeastern, with junior Ashley Reeves totalling 11 kills, 17 digs and eight blocks in the match. DeTurk and Adomat tallied 11 kills each in the win. The Crimson was led by Suzie Trimble and Turley-Molony, who registered 10 kills apiece. Laura Mahon and Sarah Cebron each tallied 16 digs in a losing effort. NU (3-1 Colonial Athletic Association) is back in action on Friday for a conference matchup with William & Mary. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at Solomon Court. Volleyball Detailed Stats
