The Northeastern University volleyball team lost to undefeated Delaware (12-0, 3-0 CAA) in four games on Wednesday night at Solomon Court. The Huskies were coming off a pair of weekend road wins but couldn’t carry the momentum back home as NU was outblocked 11-to-5 as Delaware hitters compiled a .280 hitting percentage to the Huskies’ .118 percent. Senior co-captain Ashley Reeves was a bright spot for the Huskies with her team-high 13 kills and match-high .591 hitting percentage.
NU evens out their CAA record at 2-2 and drops to 4-7 on the season overall. Brittany Eukovich, the CAA Co-Player of the Week stayed hot for the Huskies as she posted 10 kills on a .227 attacking percentage. Freshman Leah Neubeck led NU with 25 digs and senior setter Ivana Pavlisin contributed 20 assists.
CAA assist leader Megan Welch put up 35 assists to lead Delaware and Colleen Walsh added a match-high 16 kills for the Hens.
The Husky hitters will play their second of five consecutive home games this Sat., Sept. 23 when they host CAA opponent Towson at 1 p.m.
