Four Huskies put up double digit kill totals but NU couldn't grind out the win as they lost, 3-1, on the road to James Madison on Friday night.
Senior co-captain Whitney Turner recorded a team-high 14 kills on .400 attacking to lead the NU offense as the Huskies’ middle hitters Ashley Reeves and Brittany Eukovich each sent back four blocks on defense.
The Huskies’ solid effort on both sides of the ball fell just short, but NU still needs only one win to secure their place in the 2006 CAA Tournament.
Lauren DeTurk and Kira Batura both posted double-doubles for the Huskies. DeTurk put up 11 kills and 11 digs while Batura added 12 kills and 15 digs.
The Huskies face off again on Sat., Nov. 4 against George Mason at 7 p.m.
