The Northeastern volleyball team swept the Georgia State Panthers at Solomon Court Friday 3-0 (30-28, 30-22, 30-24).
Senior co-captain Ashley Reeves led the way for the Husky offense, registering a match-high 13 kills. Junior Kira Batura and sophomore Lauren DeTurk each added twelve kills.
In game one the Panthers stayed close but a kill from Reeves gave the Huskies the 30-28 victory.
In game two the Huskies built a 21-15 lead before the Panthers rattled off three consecutive points to shorten the lead.With Batura serving the Huskies took back control of the game, winning 30-22.
Northeastern controlled game three, outhitting the Panthers .327 to .205 and taking the match with a 30-24 win.
Sophomore Brittany Eukovich had a match-high .474 attack percentage and senior Ivana Pavlisin led with 29 assists.
The Huskies are back in action Sunday against UNC Wilmington. The seniors will be recognized before the game at 1 p.m.
