Huskies fall to Boston College 3-2

The Northeastern volleyball team dropped the second game of the Crusader Classic to Boston College, losing 3-2 (25-15, 16-25, 26-24, 14-25, 8-15). The Huskies were led by Nicole Bishop, who recorded a career-high 13 kills in the contest. Senior co-captains Jessica Tkachuk and Leah Neubeck were named to the All-Tournament team.
Britney Brown posted her second double-double of the day and fifth of the season with 12 kills and 19 assists.
The Huskies would take a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth set, but the Eagles were able to swing the momentum its way to capture the final two sets, and claim victory.
Tkachuk led the team with 23 assists and added 11 kills for a double-double, her third of the year. Neubeck tallied 14 digs and had 30 over the two games.
Freshman Lexi Ornell made her Northeastern debut in the tournament.
The Huskies now stand at 4-4 on the season and return to action Wednesday, September 16 taking on Connecticut for a battle of Huskies superiority at 7 p.m.
