The Huskies suffered a 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 16-25, 14-25) loss to New
Hampshire Tuesday night at Solomon Court. Jessica Tkachuk led
Northeastern with her second career triple-double, consisting of 13
kills, 20 assists and 12 digs. Britney Brown chipped in 13 kills, 19
assists and eight digs.
The Huskies would take the first set 25-19 thanks to 12 team kills with a .333 hitting percentage. Northeastern would drop the second set however, in a close battle losing 20-25. UNH's Lindsay Fogerty and Kristen Bates' offensive firepower would be too much to overcome and Northeastern could not capitalize on its service chances as the Huskies fell in the third and fourth sets 16-25 and 14-25, bringing their record in 2009 to 7-6.
Leah Neubeck added 10 digs for Northeastern.
The Huskies open conference play Saturday
against Hofstra at Solomon Court at 7 p.m.
