Women’s basketball hosts free youth clinics

The Northeastern women’s basketball team hosted free youth clinics for girls ranging from the fourth grade to high school seniors at Solomon Court August 1-2. The event was put on in conjunction with Visionary Basketball Group, who provide coaching and basketball training to boys and girls ages 10 through 18 in the Greater Boston, Merrimack Valley, North Shore and Southern New Hampshire communities.
Members of the coaching staff and team served as counselors for the event, providing instruction for over 50 participants in the two days.

Present at the event were head coach Daynia LaForce-Mann, assistant coaches Chelsea Perry and Bill Carpenter, junior co-captain Tiffany Crews, sophomores Kashaia Cannon, Dani Iervolino, Kristina Coppolino, Chanez Robinson, Brittany Wilson, and Jamie Conroy.
Northeastern kicks off the 2009-10 season on November 14 when the Huskies travel to face the defending NCAA National Champion Connecticut.
