The Huskies came out of the blocks ready as they raced to an early 10-0 lead. They followed that up with a 29-4 run that nearly sealed the victory before closing the half at 41-14. The second half proved to be the same story as a Wanda Almengot three put the Huskies up by 36 with 11 minutes of ball still to be played. The teams swapped buckets throughout the final 10 minutes of the game to produce a final score of 69-34 Northeastern. Tesha Tinsley led all scorers with 17 points, as freshman Garrette Glinton contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Beth Hanewald and Lani Lawrence also had productive nights as they had 10 and 14 points respectively and each pulled down five rebounds.
