Northeastern women's basketball team defeated the Black Bears of Maine, 55-45, at Alfond Arena for the first time since the 1996-97 season. The Huskies jumped out to an early 4-0 lead but quickly Maine recovered and went to the locker room with a 24-20 advantage at the break. The Huskies started off the second half not as they had hoped as they quickly found themselves down by nine with just over 13 minutes to play. Genny Caruso for Northeastern responded with a three pointer that sparked a 26-7 run by the Huskies that closed out the game. The Husky victory marked the third straight against Maine dating back to last season.
