HEMPSTEAD, NY -- Freshman Laurie Harris scored a career-high 14 points to lead Northeastern to a 59-43 win at Hofstra in an America East women's basketball game on Sunday. The Huskies overcame a 35 percent shooting afternoon, including 24 percent in the first half, to defeat the Flying Dutchwomen for the second time this season and fifth straight time overall. NU got 19 points off turnovers in Sunday's game as Hofstra committed 23 for the game, 13 in the second half. The Huskies led 20-15 at the half, but Hofstra used a 6-2 spurt to cut the edge to one, 22-21, with 15:19 to go. NU responded with an 8-0 run to make it a 30-21 game with 12:56 showing. The Dutchwomen did get back within four with 10:14 to go, but got no closer.
