"Both young women have proven to be the heart and soul of the team,” La-Force Mann said. “They have matured into players who can serve as role models for the younger players because they are self motivated, hard workers, and always put the team first. These are qualities which will help our team continue to rise to the top."
Feldman, who will be the Huskies’ lone senior next year, has been a steady player and deadly three-point shooter for Northeastern throughout her career. She has appeared in at least 29 games in each of her three seasons, and led the team in scoring as a freshman. She is currently second all-time in Northeastern history in three-pointers, and is 14th on the program’s all-time scoring list with 998 points.
Walton averaged 9.9 points per game and 5.7 rebounds last season. She was named CAA Player of the Week on Nov. 19 after scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in a win over Massachusetts on Nov. 17. Walton was a consistent threat on both ends of the court in 2007-08, recording four double-doubles and scoring in double figures 14 times.
Feldman and Walton helped lead Northeastern to a 14-16 overall record last season, the biggest improvement in the CAA. The Huskies also reeled off a seven game winning streak, which is tied for the second longest streak in program history.
