| 2007-08 Schedule/Results Boston University 94, Northeastern 84
Boston University shot 66 percent from the field in the second half and shot 52 percent overall as the Terriers posted a 94-84 win over the Huskies Monday evening at Case Gymnasium. Northeastern was red hot from the field all night as well, shooting 55.2 percent on the evening and had five players score in double figures, led by Lucia Pablos with 22. The impressive offensive performance wasn't enough to overcome the Terriers however, as they received a career high 35 points from Aly Hinton. The Huskies return to action on Nov. 29 when they travel to Hanover, N.H., to take on Dartmouth at 7:00 p.m. Leading 47-42 at halftime, NU was able to extend its lead in the early parts of the second half to 53-45 on baskets by Kendra Walton, Pablos, and Shalesye Smallwood. But BU got back in the game over the next four minutes, going on a 17- 11 run to cut NU's lead to 64-62. A three-pointer by the Terriers' Cheri Raffo put the homeside in front by one, and a lay-up by Hinton put BU up 67-64. A three-pointer by Jasmine Crew on Northeastern's next possession tied the game at 67. Playing a frentic pace, the teams went back-and-forth until a lay-up by BU's Kasey Devine put the Terriers in front 85-84 with 3:35 to play. Hinton then scored the game's next six points, giving BU a 91-84 lead with 2:31 to play as Northeastern went cold from the field, failing to score on their last five possessions as BU pulled away. The teams traded baskets in the early going with neither team establishing a big lead. With the game tied at 19 with 11:40 remaining in the half, a three-pointer by Walton gave Northeastern a 22-19 lead. After the teams traded field goals, two foul shots by Crew began a 14-8 Huskies run that gave the visitors a 38-30 lead. BU was able to trim the margin to four points with 2:28 remaining in the half at 42-38, but a three-pointer by Smallwood with 2:02 remaining increased the lead to 45-38 and Northeastern went into the break leading 47-42. Pablos scored 14 points in the first half, and was effective all evening both shooting from the outside and slashing to the basket. Smallwood scored 19 points for the Huskies, while Crew chipped in 12 and Stefanie Hodell had 10. Official Basketball Box Score -- GAME TOTALS -- FINAL STATISTICS
