Rashard Thurston enters his first season with Northeastern and will serve as the team's administrative assistant.

A graduate of Florida A&M, Thurston has served as an assistant coach in the high school ranks in Florida. Thurston was an assistant at C. Leon King High School in Tampa, Fla. while he was a student-teacher. He then moved on to teach American History at Lakeland Senior High School, where he also served as an assistant coach to the varsity boys' basketball team.

Thurston also served as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, working with the 351st postal region as a power generation equipment repair specialist from 1999-2005.

"As our administrative assistant Rashard will be in charge of game day activities, post game activities, and practice activities." La-Force Mann said. "He will get a good glimpse into the day-to-day responsibilities of running a basketball program."

Thurston will also assist in film exchange and coordination for the Huskies.
