NU tops Columbia in Woodbury Cup
The varsity crew finished at 6:57.4, topping Columbia's 7:07.4. The win improves the Huskies' record to 13-2.
All Northeastern crews followed suit, as the second novice eight, the varsity four and the novice four crews defeated Columbia.
The last time the Cup was held on Orchard Beach Lagoon was in 2005, when Columbia bested the Huskies by nearly six seconds.
Northeastern, currently ranked fifth in the EARWC Coaches' Poll, now leads the series 11-4. The Huskies will next compete in the Eastern Sprints on Sun., May 18 in Camden, NJ.
