NU tops Columbia in Woodbury Cup
The Huskies topped Columbia in the Woodbury Cup on Orchard Beach Lagoon in Pelham, N.Y. on Sunday. NU finished at 6:57.4, 10 seconds ahead of Columbia (7:07.4). The second varsity eight, varsity four and novice four also won their races. Northeastern will next participate in the Eastern Sprints on Sun., May 18 in Camden, N.J.

Huskies downed by Radcliffe in Beanpot
Northeastern was defeated by Radcliffe in the second annual Beanpot Regatta on the Charles River on Saturday. NU, 12-2, was defeated by Radcliffe in the Jeanne Rowlands Cup, which was held within the Beanpot. Northeastern, currently ranked fifth in the EAWRC, beat Boston University, Boston College and MIT.

Northeastern defeats Massachusetts
Northeastern defeated Massachusetts on the Charles River on Saturday to improve its record to 9-1. The Huskies finished at 6:35.5, nearly 23 seconds ahead of UMass (6:58.0).

NU defeats Texas in third round of CRC
Northeastern defeated Texas in the third round of the Charles River Challenge on Sunday. The Huskies came out of the weekend of racing with an 8-1 record after topping Syracuse and Gonzaga while falling to Notre Dame on Sunday.

Sparano wins Rowlands Award
Senior varsity rower Meredith Sparano was honored with the Jeanne Rowlands Award as Northeastern's top female senior scholar-athlete. The award is given for combined excellence in academics and athletics. Sparano is majoring in Criminal Justice and rows the bow for the varsity eight. Sparano was honored Thursday night at the annual Senior Awards Celebration at Matthews Arena.

Huskies finish first in Orange Cup
Northeastern defeated Pennsylvania and Syracuse in the Orange Cup on the Charles on Saturday. The Huskies, now 5-0, finished with 6:52.2, followed by Penn (6:58.8) and Syracuse (7:04.1). The Huskies will participate in the Charles River Challenge next weekend beginning at 9:36 a.m. on Saturday.

Huskies defeat Dartmouth, URI, BC
Northeastern defeated Dartmouth, Rhode Island and Boston College in its 2008 season opener on the Charles River on Sat., April 5. The Huskies finished 1.9 seconds ahead of the Big Green with a time of 6:26.1. Northeastern takes on Syracuse and Pennsylvania in the Orange Cup on Sat., April 12.

Novice rowers compete at Green Monster
The novice squads of the Northeastern women's rowing team competed in the Green Monster Regatta in Hanover, N.H. over the weekend. The Huskies raced three boats in the regatta, which came in third, 12th and 15th out of 19 entries. The Northeastern A boat finished with a time of 16:29, not far behind Radcliffe, which finished second with a time of 16:27. Dartmouth took the regatta with a time of 16:07.
