Huskies place 14 on All-Academic squad
Kate Applin leads a group of 14 Northeastern women's hockey players honored by Hockey East with academic awards. Applin was named one of two Hockey East Top-Scholar Athletes. Along with her, Ali Bielawski, Missy Elumba and Cassie Sperry were honored as Distinguished Scholars. Joining those four, Lori Antflick, Ginny Berg, Lindsay
Berman, Stephanie Gavronsky, Annie Hogan, Julia Marty, Erin Reil, Leah
Sulyma, Vanessa Tomchik, and Alyssa Wohlfeiler were all named to the
All-Academic team.

Flint named assistant for U.S. Women's Olympic Team
Women's hockey head coach Dave Flint was named an assistant coach for the 2010 U.S. Olympic Women's Hockey Team Thursday. Flint joins Jodi McKenna as an assistant under head coach Mark Johnson. Flint, McKenna and Johnson comprised the coaching staff at the 2009 IIHF World Championships, where Team USA won gold.

Huskies add two recruits for 2009-10
The women's hockey team announced today that Lindsay Domaas (Minnetonka, Minn.) and Brittany Esposito (Edmonton, Alberta) will join Northeastern for the 2009-10 season. The addition of Domaas and Esposito brings Northeastern's 2009-10 recruiting class to seven.

Rosa elected to Hall of Fame
Donna-Lynn Rosa, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, has been elected to
the Northeastern University Hall of Fame for excellence in the sport of
hockey. Rosa, Class of 1990, will be inducted along with six others in
formal ceremonies at Northeastern’s Curry Student Center in Boston,
Mass., on May 21.

Applin, Hogan, Marty named captains for 2009-10
Katy Applin, Annie Hogan, and Julia Marty were named tri-captains for the 2009-10 season, the team announced at its end-of-season banquet. The Huskies also honored Sydney Arbelbide, Missy Elumba, and Florence Schelling with team awards, and recognized Marty, Schelling, Kristi Kehoe and Stephanie Gavronsky for receiving Hockey East honors.
