Senior Chanda Gunn stopped 25 shots for her ninth career shutout, as Northeastern registered its first victory of the 2003-04 season with a 2-0 blanking of host Vermont at Gutterson Arena in Burlington Sunday.

Freshmen Marie Desrosiers scored the game-winning goal and assisted on classmate Jess Coppney's insurance tally. Sophomore Cyndy Kenyon assisted on Desrosiers' goal to extend her assist streak to two games.

The Huskies (1-1-0) outshost Vermont (0-4-0), 45-25.
