Freshman Amy Goodney tallied two third-period goals, as the Huskies rallied for a 2-1 victory over Boston College in Hockey East action at Conte Forum Sunday afternoon.
Northeastern improves to 12-7-7 overall and 6-4-3 in Hockey East play, while the Eagles fall to 5-15-3 and 0-11-1.
The Huskies entered the third period trailing 1-0, but it took just five minutes into the final stanza for NU to draw even when Goodney scored her ninth goal of the season, stuffing in a rebound while BC goalie Lisa Davis was on the ice. Freshman Marie Desrosiers and Melissa Jubinville assisted on the play.
Goodney potted the game winner with 11:06 remaining in the contest after collecting a pass from sophomore Cyndy Kenyon.
Both NU senior Chanda Gunn and Davis made 23 saves.
After a scoreless first period, Kerri Sanders gave BC a 1-0 lead, knocking a rebound just outside the crease after Gunn stopped a Michelle Lombardi shot.
