Senior Chanda Gunn stopped 20 shots for her 10th career shutout and second of the season, as the Huskies blanked host Quinnipiac, 4-0, at the Northford Ice Pavilion Saturday.
Sophomore defenseman Theresa Ella scored the game-winning goal for NU at 8:11 of the first period on a power play. Sophomore Rachael Bertram gave the Huskies a 2-0 first period advantage at 18:54. Freshman Marie Desrosiers assisted on both scores to extend her three-game point streak.
Jessica Coppney added a second-period, power-play goal, while Chrissy Sands tallied an even-strength goal in the third to round out the scoring.
