Northeastern lost their fourth straight game on Saturday with a 4-0 loss to Wisconsin. The Huskies are now 2-10-1 on the season while the fourth-ranked Badgers climb to 11-3 for the year. Northeastern dropped both games this weekend at the Harvard Shootout losing to the top ranked Minnesota Gophers on Friday night by a score of 8-1. The game was scoreless until late in the first period when Wisconsin's Molly Engstrom scored a power play goal thanks to assists by captain Carla MacLeod and junior Sharon Cole. The two teams combined for eight penalties in the first period with Northeastern whistled for five for a total of 10 minutes. Northeastern's penalty kill unit was strong for the game stopping the Badgers on 7 of their 8 power play opportunities. The Badgers added to their lead in the second period thanks to an even-strength goal by Lindsay Macy. Cyndy kenyon assisted on the goal. Wisconsin freshman Emily Morris recorded her first collegiate goal early in the third period and later added another goal thanks to assists by Amy Vermeulen and Heidi Kletzien. Junior goaltender Marisa Hourihan had another amazing game in goal with 49 saves including 22 in the first period. Hourihan has now recorded five 40+ save games this season and is on pace to break the Northeastern record for saves in a season. Northeastern will play their next four games at Matthews Arena starting with a weekend series against Maine. The Huskies first match-up with the Black Bears will be on Friday night at 7 p.m. Wisconsin (11-3-0) vs. Northeastern (2-10-1)
