Northeastern topped No. 10 Connecticut 3-0 Sunday in Storrs Connecicut for their second straight Hockey East win.
An early penalty on Connecticut gave Northeastern a power play, and Kristi Kehoe converted to give the Huskies the lead a mere 47 seconds into the first period.
Lori Antflick got her first goal of the season in the second period and pushed the NU lead to 2. Katy Applin scored a power-play goal in the waning seconds of the second period to extend the Northeastern lead to three goals.
Northeastern's defense continued to play strongly. Sophomore goalie Leah Sulyma turned in a 34-save performance, and recorded her second shutout of the season. NU has now recorded four shutouts in six games.
Northeastern defeated Providence College 1-0 Saturday. The Huskies take on Quinnipiac Saturday Oct. 25 at 2 p.m.
