Huskies at Terriers Thursday, 7 p.m.
The Huskies travel across town Thursday to take on the No. 9 Boston University Terriers at BU's Walter Brown Arena at 7 p.m. Northeastern is coming off a 2-1 loss to Brown Jan. 3, and is currently in sixth place in Hockey East. Freshman defenseman Stephanie Ganvronsky tallied her second goal of the season against Brown, and will look for more against the Terriers.

Huskies lose to Brown
Northeastern suffered a 2-1 loss to Brown Saturday at the Bears' Meehan Auditorium. The Huskies got a goal from Stephanie Gavronsky, but it was not enough to overcome a two-goal Brown lead. The Huskies drop to 7-8-2 with the loss. Northeastern's next game is Thurs., Jan. 8 at Boston University.

Huskies lose to Yale
The Huskies suffered a 2-0 setback to the Yale Bulldogs Friday night at Matthews Arena. Leah Sulyma made 30 saves on the night, and kept the Huskies within a goal until the final seconds, when Yale added an empty net score to seal the win. The Huskies fall to 7-7-2 overall with the loss, and will look to rebound against Brown Saturday, when they take on the Bears in Providence.

Northeastern falls to UNH, 3-0
The Huskies suffered a 3-0 loss to New Hampshire Tuesday night at the Wildcats' Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H. Florence Schelling made 21 saves in the loss, but the Huskies could not come up with enough offense to prevail over the seventh-ranked Wildcats. The Huskies are off until the new year, resuming play Jan. 2 when they host Yale at Matthews Arena.

Huskies top Catamounts, 2-1
The Huskies earned a 2-1 win over the Vermont Catamounts Saturday at UVM's Gutterson Fieldhouse. The Huskies got goals from Kristi Kehoe and Stephanie Gavronsky, and Leah Sulyma made 26 saves to preserve the lead. The Huskies improve to 7-5-2 (4-3-0 HEA) with the win.

Huskies fall to No. 8 Boston College
The Huskies dropped their second game of the season to No. 8 Boston College Sunday at the Eagles' Conte Forum. Florence Schelling made 27 saves and kept the Huskies within one goal until the third period, but Northeastern could not find enough offense. The Huskies' next game is Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. at Vermont.

Huskies lose to New Hampshire, 2-0
The Huskies suffered a 2-0 loss to the No. 6 New Hampshire Wildcats Wednesday at UNH's Whittemore Center. The Wildcats outshot Northeastern 36 to 12, but Florence Schelling made 34 saves to keep the Huskies in the game until the final minutes of the third period. Northeastern is back in action Sunday at 2 p.m. when the Huskies take on Boston College at Conte Forum.

Schelling featured in Sports Illustrated
Florence Schelling is featured in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of the Nov. 24 issue of Sports Illustrated. Her strong play in the early season has helped the Huskies jump out to a 6-3-2 start, their best showing through 11 games since 2003-04.

The Huskies suffered a 3-2 loss to Wayne State in the second game of a two-game set Saturday at the Warriors' City Sports Arena. Kristi Kehoe scored twice for the Huskies, but the Huskies still fell to 6-3-2. The Huskies' next game is Nov. 26 at New Hampshire at 5 p.m.

Huskies drop first game to Wayne State
The 10th-ranked Huskies suffered a 4-3 loss to the Wayne State Warriors in the first game of a two-game set. Annie Hogan, Kristi Kehoe, and Erin Reil scored for the Huskies but Northeastern could not stop Wayne State's Sam Poyton, who tallied four goals to defeat Northeastern. The two teams play again Saturday at 2 p.m. EST.

Flint back from Four Nations Cup
Huskies' head coach Dave Flint recently returned from Lake Placid, N.Y. where he was serving as an assistant coach for the US National Team at the annual Four Nations Cup. In Flint's absence, assistant coaches Linda Lundrigan and Lauren McAuliffe led the Huskies to a 4-1 win over Maine.

Marty named Hockey East Player of the Week
Northeastern's Julia Marty was named Player of the Week by Hockey East on Monday. She earned the distinction with her first career hat trick in the Huskies' 4-1 win over Maine on Sunday. She is the second Husky to win the award after Kristi Kehoe earned the distinction Oct. 6.

The 10th-ranked Huskies defeated HEA opponent Maine 4-1 Sunday at Matthews Arena. Julia Marty scored her first career hat trick, and Kristi Kehoe notched her team-leading seventh goal in the win. The Huskies improve to 3-1-0 in Hockey East, and are 6-1-2 overall.

Schelling named Rookie of the Month
Florence Schelling was named Hockey East Rookie of the month for October. In four starts, Schelling is 3-0-1 with two shutouts, a 0.74 goals against average and a .978 save percentage. Schelling and the No. 10 Huskies take on Maine Sunday at 2 p.m. at Matthews Arena.

Huskies ranked 10th in the nation
The Huskies tied for the number 10 position in the most recent USCHO.com Division I women's poll, released Nov. 3. The Huskies have not been ranked in the poll since Oct. 21, 2002. The team is 5-1-2, their best start since 2003-04, thanks largely to stellar play from goaltenders Florence Schelling and Leah Sulyma. The Huskies host Maine Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at Matthews Arena.

The Huskies skated to a 3-1 win over the Quinnipaic Bobcats Saturday at Matthews Arena. The Huskies got goals from Colleen Sanborn, Annie Hogan and Ali Bielawski, and Florence Schelling made 24 saves as the Huskies extended their unbeaten streak to seven games. The Huskies are 5-0-2, and take on Boston College Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. at Matthews Arena.

Sulyma, Schelling earn weekly honors
Northeastern goalies Leah Sulyma and Florence Schelling have been named Hockey East Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week and Hockey East Mission Rookie of the Week. Sulyma made 34 saves and shut out Connecticut in a 3-0 win Sunday, while Schelling stopped 31 shots in a 1-0 win over Providence on Saturday.

The Huskies earned a 1-0 win over the Providence College Friars in Northeastern's home opener Saturday at Matthews Arena. Ali Bielawski scored for the Huskies in the third period after hitting the post on a breakway opportunity in the first. Freshman netminder Florence Schelling made 31 saves to preserve the win for Northeastern.

Schelling earns conference honor
The Huskies' Florence Schelling was named Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week in Women's Hockey East on Monday. Schelling held Bemidji State scoreless through regulation and overtime on Friday as Northeastern skated to a 0-0 tie with the Beavers. Schelling has a 0.96 GAA and .975 save percentage in two starts this season.
