Before NU: Played for the San Jose Junior Sharks, leading the team to the quarterfinals of the 2007 national championship...scored 28 goals and had 25 assists for 53 points for the Sharks Under-16 team in 2006-07...participated in the U.S. National Camp in 2007 and '08...named "Best Overall" at the the 2007 camp...attended the North American Hockey Academy in 2008-09 and helped the NAHA White team win the 2008 Assabet Tournament.
