Former Huskies standout rower Kady Glessner has been featured on row2k.com, the definitive source for collegiate rowing news. Glessner, who rowed for Northeastern from 2005-08, recently won a gold medal with the US Women's Eight at the World Championship in Ponzan, Poland. Glessner was the only rookie on the boat, sharing space with five members of the 2008 Olympic team.

NU finishes strong at Head of the Charles
The men's and women's rowing teams had strong outings at the 45th Head of the Charles regatta, held amidst falling snow on Sunday, Oct. 18. The men's first varsity boat took 10th place (15:08.614) in the championship eight, while the men's four took 15th (17:59.193) in the championship four. In the women's championship eight, the varsity took 14th place (17:27.603). The women's four took 19th (22:01.011). Northeastern Alumni had an impressive presence, as the men won the alumni eight (15:13:543) and the women placed eighth (19:00.107). For full regatta coverage, visit Row2k.
Grinold christens empacher with NU rowing
On Saturday, Oct. 17, Associate Athletics Director for Communications Jack Grinold and wife Cathy christened their new empacher on Columbus Ave. with members of the Northeastern men's and women's rowing program. Grinold has been active with the Huskies' rowing program since its inception.

Rowing to hold Head of the Charles Regatta Alumni Event
The Northeastern rowing teams will hold the Third Annual Head of the
Charles Regatta Alumni Reception on Saturday, October 17 at the
Northeastern University Alumni Center. All alumni, friends and family
of the program are welcome to attend. This year, a special boat dedication will take place in front of
Columbus Place, as the men's team will christen its newest racing
shell, the Jack & Cathy Grinold.

Glessner strokes US to gold at World Championship
Former Husky rowing standout Kady Glessner stroked the US Women’s Eight
to a gold medal at the World Championship in Poznan, Poland Sunday.
Glessner earned the stroke seat in her first year with the team despite competing with 5 returning members of the 2008 Olympic team. At the Lucerne Regatta in July,
Glessner and the US Women earned a silver medal, falling just short of
Romania.
