Four Huskies named National Scholar-Athletes

Four members of the women’s rowing team have earned CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honors.
The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) has named seniors Diana Bernstein (Music Industry), Jillise Ketcham (Criminal Justice) and Svenja Sanders (International Business/ Spanish) and sophomore Rachel Buff (Sociology) National Scholar-Athletes for the 2009 season.
To be eligible for the honor, the student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout her career and she must have rowed in at least 75% of all spring races or taken part in a regional conference event.
Candidates also must have been in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility and have already met all eligibility requirements as outlined by their institutions.
