The Northeastern University women's soccer team got a big 1-0 win over Drexel Sunday at Parsons Field. The win made the Huskies 7-0 at home for the season, and gave the NU a win in both their Homecoming and Senior Day game.
Despite 17 shots in the first half neither team was able to score, going into halftime with the tie still knotted at zero.
In the 88th minute redshirt freshman Liza Rebello scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season to give the Huskies the lead. Northeastern outshot the Dragons 23-11 but needed just the one goal from Rebello to secure the win.
Junior keeper Annie Petrofsky made four saves for her seventh shutout of the season.
Seniors Kristin Kowalik, Siobhan Howard, Jessie Haidamaka, NIcole Bottino and Amanda Sesto were honored before the game.
The Huskies take on Hofstra Thursday at 6 p.m.
