Northeastern defeated former conference rival New Hampshire in double overtime on a header by co-captain Liza Rebello. It was Rebello's second goal of the season. Sandra Magnusdottir and Kelly Matthews assisted on the tally.
Stephanie Gordon recorded four saves in the 1-0 victory, for her 10th career shutout. Gordon now has three shutouts in five games this season. Ally Yost made six saves for the Wildcats, before being replaced by Sarah Dobush in the first overtime.
The Huskies tallied 22 shots in the match, to the Wildcats 12. Magnusdottir recorded a team high five shots for the Huskies, including two on goal. The assist on Rebello's goal was her first collegiate point.
Next game, Northeastern will take on cross-town rival BU at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at Parsons Field.
