Rebello named to NEWISA Senior Bowl
Senior co-captain Liza Rebello has been selected to participate in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association's annual Senior Bowl. Rebello will be joined by New England's top seniors from programs such as Harvard, Boston College and Boston University. Rebello was second on the team in points this season, and she is the Huskies' only graduating senior.

Petta honored on Top Drawer's All-Rookie Team
Freshman forward Devin Petta has been named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's 2009 All-Rookie first-team. Petta, this year's CAA Player and Rookie of the Year, is joined by the nation's top rookies from Stanford, UCLA, Boston College and other prestigious programs on TopDrawer's elite team. She is the first in program history to be named to the Rookie first-team.

Huskies finish their 2009 season
The women's soccer team finished its 2009 season with a program best 12-4-3 (7-1-3 CAA) record. The team won its first CAA regular season title, and earned the right to host the conference tournament at Parsons Field. Northeastern's many honors this season include the prestigious CAA recognitions of Ed Matz as Coach of Year and freshman Devin Petta as Player and Rookie of the Year. Co-captain Liza Rebello will be missed as the team's lone graduating senior.

Huskies named to CAA All-Tournament team
Senior co-captain Liza Rebello and freshman Sandra Magnusdottir were named to the 2009 CAA All-Tournament team. Magnusdottir scored the lone Northeastern goal in the 3-1 loss to James Madison in the semifinals of the CAA Tournament. The semifinal match was also Rebello's 79th career game, breaking the program record for most games played by a women's soccer player.

Huskies fall to JMU in CAA semifinals
The Huskies fell to James Madison 3-1 in the semifinals of the CAA Tournament on Friday. It was the first home loss of the season for Northeastern. Freshman Sandra Magnusdottir scored the Huskies' only goal, while goalkeeper Stephanie Gordon made five saves. James Madison advances to play UNC Wilmington in the finals of the CAA Tournament, at 1 p.m. this Sunday at Parsons Field.
