CAA Championship
"Brittany Moriarty had a great day to earn All-CAA honors," said distance coach Renny Waldron. "We're really proud of her going out well as a senior. Kristen Martin, Jillian Buck and Brittanie McDonald all had their best races of the season. I'm happy with our performance as a team, because even though we didn't have our best day, we improved over the course of the season and got our highest finish at the CAA Championship."
William & Mary won the meet with 27 points and was led by overall winner Emily Anderson, who ran a time of 21:02. James Madison took second with 71 points followed by Georgia State (83), Northeastern (95), Delaware (109), UNC Wilmington (154), Towson (178), Virginia Commonwealth (274), Hofstra (285) and George Mason (293).
Behind Moriarty, sophomore Kristen Martin was the Huskies' second finisher in 14 place with a time of 21:59. Sophomore transfer Jessica Barton took 21st in 22:19, Kristie Gagnon took 31st in 22:51 and Jillian Buck was the Huskies' fifth finisher across the line in 35th place with a time of 23:00.
It was NU's highest finish in a CAA Cross Country Championship. The Huskies placed fifth in 2007, sixth in 2006 and fifth in 2005, which was Northeastern's first season in the conference.
Northeastern finishes the season by competing in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship on Nov. 15 at Van Courtlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.

Bull Run Park (Centreville, VA)The Northeastern University women's cross country team posted its highest finish ever at the CAA Championship, placing fourth out of 10 teams on Saturday at Bull Run Park in Centreville, Va. The Huskies were led by Brittany Moriarty, who earned All-CAA honors by placing fifth in a time of 21:30 for the 6K course.
